This restaurant has been on our “favorites list” since they opened a few years ago. We find this place a true hidden gem, as not a lot of people know about them due to their location. They are one of the few strictly gluten free restaurants in Dubai – which is such a value for us! Besides this, they make all desserts refined sugar free and they also have an extensive vegan menu – so everyone can find a dish to suit their special dietary needs.

They are located inside the Dubai Herbal and Treatment Center in Zabeel 1. You can easily find them by using Google Maps. There is ample designated parking space for free. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but they close at 8pm. On Fridays they have a family brunch, where they offer unlimited appetizers and desserts, and a main course a’la carte. There are plenty of vegan options, and you can chose between vegan or non-vegan main corses as well. This deal is featured on the Entertainer app and Zomato. Bookings for the weekend brunch is highly recommended as they often have a full house.

The space is very bright with a floor to ceiling glass wall featuring the beautiful Dubai skyline and the Burj Khalifa. Regardless of the time if the day, the view is amazing, but the sunsets are truly spectacular.

The menu is extensive, with starters, mains and desserts. There is a separate vegan menu, both for breakfast and lunch/dinner. They also have a selection of water infusions, smoothies and juices, as well as coffee specialities. The menu changes seasonally, there is a spring/summer menu and a fall/winter menu, with new dishes being introduced every season. I always feel I am spoilt for choice when we are here, as I can truly have ANYTHING on the menu – which almost never the case (I am gluten intolerant – read more about my journey here).

We are regulars here for a lazy weekend breakfast, or the Friday brunch, or a quick lunch on a workday.

For breakfast our favorites include Eggs Benedict with beef brisket or salmon, the Waffles with berry compote, or the Vegan Breakfast which includes avocado toast, crunchy granola, coconut yogurt and energy balls. Yum! They offer a lunch special every day, with a selection of two courses and an optional dessert for a reasonable price. I often times chose one of their salads with added protein (my favorites are the Edible Garden and the Superfood Salad), and my husband loves the steak with a salad on the side.

The desserts are also fantastic – as everything else in this restaurant, they are gluten and refined sugar free. Remember, it doesn’t mean they are low in calories! As a result I rarely indulge but when I do, it is definitely worth it. They also take orders for cakes for special occasions, which comes handy when I don’t have time to bake a cake for my husband’s birthday.

In conclusion, I highly recommend to try Eatwell Restaurant if you have food allergies, you are vegan or have any special dietary needs. Or even if there is nothing wrong with you, just want a healthy meal that won’t break the bank. They are fabulous for breakfast and lunch, but I wouldn’t necessary pick them for dinner on a regular basis. Think of them more like a Cafe than a restaurant, with healthy, wholesome food, attentive service and great prices! They accept the Essad Card, Emirate Platinum Card, as well as the Entertainer and Zomato.

Let me know if you try them! Love, Nora
